Texas State University-San Marcos School of Music will host the 2nd annual Art Song Symposium Sept. 25, 28 and 29, featuring opera coloratura soprano Laura Claycomb.
The symposium will begin Sept. 25 with a lecture recital entitled “The Parisian Salon” at 7:30 p.m. in the Music Building Recital Hall. Selected French vocal and instrumental music will be presented by academic and performing music faculty in the style of a 19th century Parisian salon party. Tickets for the event are $10 for general admission and $5 for students, senior citizens and military members with identification.
