Soprano Laura Claycomb has been voted the Dallas Opera’s Maria Callas Debut Artist of the Year.
Raised in Dallas and a graduate of Highland Park High School and Southern Methodist University, Claycomb has a major international career. In an email to the company, Claycomb wrote, “It certainly takes a village to produce a great artist, and that village has been my beloved Dallas. A Texas-sized ‘Thank You’ to you all for awarding me this prestigious distinction.”
